I met Sharon at a very young age. At that time, Ruiyi, Sharon, and I were inseparable. The three of us would always be together and would always help one another. Like our parents before us, we were the best of friends. As we grew older though, new friends were made at school and we would drift slightly apart, but that did not stop us from meeting often and traveling together to new, and interesting places. Sharon always had the grin that she would like to think of as maniacal. She would often plot devious things and burst out laughing evilly. She was very good at that. At heart though, she was a great person and only did it to brighten all of us.
To those of you who know her at school, I’m sure you would agree, that Sharon would excel at anything she put her mind to. She has the amazing ability to know exactly when to start her projects so that she would finish at the last possible second but still turn in and excellent piece of work. Whenever possible, she would always help another in need and impart some of her wisdom on others. Academically, she was a wonderful student, but her intelligence surpassed mere grades at school. She would be an enlightening and enjoyable person to talk to and always had original and valid opinions to add to any conversation. Sharon is not just another person; she’s not just another face. She had a wonderful future ahead of her and qualities that could enrich the entire world. To every person here, be it teacher, friend, or family, Sharon has had a great impact on all of us. Our fond memories are all that’s left of her but that is the piece of her that burns brightest and lasts longest. These memories are what allow her to continue to enrich our lives even after she is gone. Make sure that you all never forget, never forget her achievements, never forget her qualities, and most of all, never forget her time with each of you.
Thank you.
